Training Sessions
DLAR's Veterinary Technical Services (VTS) offers species specific training that is unique to the PI's protocol. When attending these sessions, trainees will meet with a VTS trainer for a one-on-one session. These sessions are personally scheduled to assist the trainee in meeting their needs within the research protocol. The trainee is required to read the full protocol so they can access pertinent information during the training session.
To be eligible for a training session:
1. The PI will need to assure that personnel are listed on their protocol or submit a personnel amendment to the IACUC
http://www.iacuc.wayne.edu/forms-and-documents.php
2. The IACUC will contact the PI and their personnel to inform them of the requirements prior to being eligible for species specific training
3. The IACUC will contact DLAR's Veterinary Technical Services when personnel are eligible for species specific training
4. DLAR's Veterinary Technical Services will then contact the PI with a "Request for Training" form.
5. Once the "Request for Training" form is returned to DLAR's Veterinary Technical Services, personnel will be contacted to schedule a training session.
Please Note: There will be a Technical Service Fee charged to the PI's account for "NO SHOW" appointments.
