Licensure
Graduates of the Wayne County Community College Veterinary Technology Program are eligible to sit for the Veterinary Technician national and state examinations. The exam is offered in East Lansing in June of each year. Persons who successfully complete the examinations are given the title "Licensed Veterinary Technician".
Persons who are licensed, registered or certified as veterinary technicians in other states may apply for licensure in Michigan by contacting the Michigan Department of Commerce, Board of Veterinary Medicine, PO Box 30018, Lansing, MI 48909. The telephone number is 517/335-0918.
