PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS Veterinary technicians are encouraged to form organizations at state and local levels for the purposes of continuing education and self improvement. Student Association of Veterinary Technicians (SAVT) - WCCC Veterinary Technology Program student organization. Meetings are held throughout the school year with emphasis on community service. Michigan Association of Veterinary Technicians(MAVT) - State association which holds continuing education meetings twice yearly and hosts periodic social activities.
