Veterinary technicians are encouraged to form organizations at state and local levels for the purposes of continuing education and self improvement.
Student Association of Veterinary Technicians (SAVT) - WCCC Veterinary Technology Program student organization. Meetings are held throughout the school year with emphasis on community service. SAVT is a student chapter of NAVTA.. Contact Michele McGonagle, LVT in the WCCC VTP office.

American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) - National association which regulates veterinary technology programs and determines present and future manpower needs in the veterinary technology field.
